Overview:
In 605 BCE Jerusalem was besieged by Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon. The choicest of the king’s children, and princes of Judah were carried away captive. Among these children were Daniel, Hananiah, Azariah, Mishael and Reuben. They were given new names, and taught new ways, but they refused to be subject to any custom that would be disobedient to the laws of God; even when it might have cost them their lives.
