Uganda Awakening: The Documentary (Part 1)

The revival that broke out in Uganda in late 2017 has become one of the most amazing spiritual outpourings in the history of the End Time Message. To date, it is known that at least 20,000 souls have been baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and it is believed that the actual number of baptisms is much higher.

In the beginning, so much was happening so fast, it was difficult to comprehend, let alone report. With our close involvement, Bible Believers was able to document many aspects of the awakening. Now, with a year to reflect, we would like to begin sharing this incredible story with you.

Through interviews with first hand witnesses, we have thoroughly explored the awakening as it unfolded, from the first outbreak of revival in a Pentecostal church in Kimaga, to its sweeping through the areas North of Kampala, and now beyond. We have traveled with the ministry team of Brother Fred Kiyingi and Bro Stephen Ibale, from church to church, observing how the revival has spread. We have talked to many pastors, ministry leaders, and lay people.

We have gone into and through the radio studio where the Bible Believers Broadcast is produced, and also the radio station which broadcasts it. We have talked with those who produce the broadcast, and also those who have received from it. This radio broadcast seems to be the spark that first hit dry tinder. But at this time, the Awakening is being propelled forward through word-of-mouth, leaping from church to church, as anointed men follow up with evangelism and teaching.

The story is not finished–not by any means.  At this moment, many new souls are coming in on a daily basis. But we have collected enough information to begin telling the ongoing story.

In this first installment, we take a step back, and explore some of the history of Uganda, both Natural and Spiritual, from the beginning of when the Message of the Hour was introduced in the 1980’s. The Message was sown in those years by men with a great burden. This installment will bring the viewer from the 1980’s up to the present day revival which will be presented in Part 2.
