In the Bible, we read of a God who bears witness of Himself, by His supernatural acts. “God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will…” (Hebrews 2:4) That same God is present and working today, as recent events in Ethiopia demonstrate.
Brother Busobozi, pastor of the work in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, was recently called to pray for a natural brother of a believer, Sister Buzeneth, a woman in his congregation. This man was at the point of death from Tuberculosis, and was given up as a lost case. The Lord Jesus answered their prayer and within one week, the oxygen was removed, as the man could walk and talk and was gaining strength. Soon he came to the church for baptism in the name of Jesus Christ. News of this miracle traveled to his wife several hundred Kilometers away, who immediately came to give her life to Jesus Christ and be baptized.
Brother Tefera, now in full strength, returned to his home village testifying, where he soon became known to the villagers as “the second Lazarus.”
Another man named Terfa traveled from the distant village to come and be baptized. The villagers are now pleading for the brothers to visit and tell them about this God that Brother Tefera has received.
Brother Tefera’s brother is a Lutheran priest. He received a dream the night before Brother Busobozi went to the hospital to pray. In his dream, he saw the brothers come into the hospital to pray for his brother but he was hindering them. He now confesses the dream was a sign that God healed his brother. This priest has a daughter about 16 years old who is epileptic and he desires to bring her in for prayer.
Brother Busobozi testifies that God is permitting events to happen this way to create an expectation among the people, so that they can receive the truth wholeheartedly. The Brothers will soon visit the village to spread the Message which is surely finding root in many parts of Ethiopia.
Please remember the Work in Ethiopia in your prayers. The Lord is surely confirming His Word as He promised He would.
