Kimaga Uganda: A Firm Foundation for New Believers

0

A new church building is raising in the Kimaga area of Uganda where previously there had been no Message Church. Becasue of the power of the translated Message through the Radio Broadcast in Uganda new areas are reached and much fruit is being harvested.

On October 27th of 2017 we reported of a mighty stir in Uganda, in which 60 people were baptized in one weekend. (See Post)  From this initial sowing, a crop of saints has continued to grow.   As often happened in the book of Acts, a “spiritual war” immediately broke out, with strong opposition from local churches and pastors.  But a true work of God is not easily extinguished.  The new saints continued to fellowship together in temporary shelters and homes, less equipped in the natural, but thriving on the life giving waters of this present day truth.

Removed from their past churches, these new believers had no place to worship, nor room to grow.  By the grace of God and with help from other believers, a piece of land was purchased, and a new church building is now under construction.   Because it was hard to find skilled labor in the local area, workers had to be brought in from other areas. An average of 11 workers came out for two weeks in December, and constructed a solid brick and mortar foundation, capable of supporting a sturdy 60 x 30 foot building.  A Believer, who is a very capable engineer, is overseeing the project.  At this time, the plan is to place pillars and proceed directly to roof construction, so the building can be used right away.  Walls, and other finishing will wait until funds are available.

We will keep you updated and thank you for your prayer and support for this unique and thriving new work!
