Like a Salmon Swimming…

Just a few days ago, we received a wonderful testimony from Brother Moges, the Associate Pastor in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The church in Ethiopia are constantly reaching out and witnessing in many areas of the country of the great work the Lord has done in these last day. Recently, Brother Moges had made several trips to the southern region of Ethiopia to sow the Seed of the Message there. There Brother Moges came in to contact with a young man named Abadir from the town of Sodo, who was introduced to him through Sister Genet that attends the church in Addis Ababa. Abadir was stirred by the things that he had heard and had been keeping in contact with Brother Moges ever since.

Finally, and despite the current Covid-19 lock-down, Abadir felt to make the 380km trip to Addis to meet with Brother Moges and the Brothers there this past week. Like a salmon swimming upstream to its birthplace, Abadir could not be deterred, regardless of the present circumstances. The trip was not easy, but the Holy Spirit impressed upon the young man and he would not be deterred.

During his visit, the Brothers shared with him this  Message of restoration, dwelling mainly on water baptism. By the grace of God, he was able to see the Truth of it and was baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ just a few days ago.

Brother Abadir is from a Pentecostal background and had been confused about baptism in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. In his own words, Brother Abadir has confessed that the Truth has been revealed to him and he has seen the Light of the Message.

Pray for Brother Abadir, and the continued work in Ethiopia. May he may be a light to those around him as he returns to his home town and job. When God lights a candle in cannot be hid!
